Domaine Faiveley have 115 hectares of vines under cultivation including 10 hectares of Grand Cru and 25 hectares of Premier Cru vines. They have been in the same family for 7 generations and are presently led by Erwan Faiveley.
Burgundy expert, Jaspar Morris, notes "Domaine Faiveley is one of the biggest domaines (115ha) in Burgundy and, many would argue, one of the best…. Many of Faiveley's top wines are hand bottled with no filtration. This in turn results in clean, opulent wines that often show Pinot Noir at its best. Their concentration and richness are rarely equalled.”
This Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru presents a beautiful dark and bright color. The nose is powerful with smoked and roasted aromas. On the palate, this wine maintains its character and complexity with hints of game and leather. Well-balanced and elegant, this Grand Cru combines volume and finesse.
