2015 was hailed as a perfect vintage in many countries, including Italy. Thanks to a very even growing season, the fruit was in excellent condition at harvest time, and minimal selection was required.
100% Sangiovese, aged only in large casks. The estate’s namesake wine, Pian delle Vigne, represents
Marchesi Antinori’s deeply personal interpretation of a prestigious and traditional wine such as Brunello
di Montalcino. The Antinori family acquired the estate in 1995, the same year the first Brunello Pian delle
Vigne was harvested.
One of Italy's grandest wines, showing a complex, generous nose with ripe aromas of cherries and raspberries, light tobacco notes and hints of coffee and cocoa powder. Multi-layered structure with a nicely rounded texture and elegant fruit leading to a very long finish.
